PINTERESTING STRATEGIES COURSE REVIEW (WHAT I REALLY THINK!)

You spend all your time writing great content, posting on social media and pinning on Pinterest like a mad person, but still don’t get any traffic to your blog.

You probably feel like you’ve tried everything and nothing is working.

PINTEREST PROBLEMS

Are you creating gorgeous pins?

Keywording your pin descriptions?

Frequently adding new content?

Maybe you think you can learn everything there is to know about Pinterest for free. I know I did. Here are some of the tips I learned about Pinterest that helped me gain new followers and traffic.

As a blogger, it feels like everyone is trying to sell you products that will guarantee you will get a ton of traffic .

It’s not that I don’t trust people, but when someone is getting a commission by promoting a product I can’t help but feel overly suspicious, which is why when I was looking for a resource on how to increase my blog’s traffic I researched the hell out of it and you should too!

I looked through a variety of courses, reviews, screenshots of traffic progression, etc.

And that is how I found Carly Campbell’s Pinteresting Strategies Course.

WHAT IS PINTERESTING STRATEGIES?

CARLY CAMPBELL

Carly Campbell is the blogger behind MommyOnPurpose and she gets OVER 200,000 pageviews a month using a manual pinning strategy.

What drew me to Carly’s course over all the other Pinterest courses out there was the fact that she did NOT use any schedulers (unless on a break), isn’t a blogger who blogs strictly about blogging, and she took the time to answer a question I had before buying her course.

I had just started blogging and had less than 20 blog posts. I asked Carly if her strategy was one that would work for me. She was honest and said that it works best for people who have at least 25 good posts.

I appreciated her honesty and the fact that she wasn’t trying to push me into buying anything, which is uncommon with course creators. I vowed that once I reached 30 posts I would buy Pinteresting Strategies and it is one of my best blogging purchases to date.

An excerpt from Carly:

There is no “Pinterest Secret” (sorry!). BUT there are some crazy important things about Pinterest that you are probably missing.

Everything you could ever want to know about Pinterest is available for us to learn when when dig into it… but no one is spending time IN Pinterest learning. We’re all just scheduling and closing our eyes….

And wondering where the page views are.

The strategy I use to pin gets me anywhere from 5 – 10k page views per day. (AS OF May 2017 I have had days with 20 – 30,000 page views! That is over 480$ in ad revenue in one day, just in case you’re wondering.)

PROS OF PINTERESTING STRATEGIES

Carly just updated Pinteresting Strategies in October 2018 so it has the latest and most current information.

She added more graphics AND it now has video. If you’re a visual learner like myself major plus!

Since she switched platforms, whenever Carly makes a change or update to the course you will have INSTANT access at no extra charge.

Offers unique tips and strategies that I have not seen mentioned anywhere else as far as I have seen.

If you love the course as much as I do, you’ll love becoming a Pinteresting Strategies affiliate. Carly’s affiliate program gives you 40% commission.

The course is exciting (weird, but it is) and super easy to follow. There are actionable steps and key recaps throughout the course.

Carly runs an AMAZING Facebook group called Blogging Like You Mean It, where she answers Pinterest/blogging questions, does Facebook live videos, and unlike other courses you can gain access to her group WITHOUT purchasing her course.

There are a bunch of experienced bloggers in the group that also provide great answers and feedback.

CONS OF PINTERESTING STRATEGIES

It can take a little patience to see results (darn lol), but that goes with any new Pinterest strategy you implement.

However, there are many people who have taken the course and seen fast results such as:

Gemma from Seasidesundays.com:

Since I started using Carly’s Pinterest Strategies 3 months ago, my blog traffic has grown from 7000 page views a month to over 60,000 page views this month. It is truly incredible. Carly has a knack for viewing Pinterest differently from anything else I have read and her techniques work! I highly recommend this course to everyone who wants to grow their Pinterest traffic quickly.
Sophia from toeatdrinkandbemarried.com:
I tried Tailwind.  I tried Boardbooster.  Both to no avail.  No real traffic was coming from all the effort (and $!!).  I didn’t even gain one follower in the months of using the programs.  I saw Carly’s E-book (coincidentally, on Pinterest) and figured I’d give it a shot.  I canceled my Boardbooster & Tailwind subscriptions, and started using Carly’s strategy.  In just 3 weeks, my numbers went up by over 1000%!!!  And I’ve been gaining followers (never thought this was possible!) on Pinterest every. single. day. Oh, have I mentioned I had no idea how to join group boards and I am now in 32?! Amazing!! Every day, my blog views beat the previous day’s and I am so excited.  I am finally making money on my blog! THANK YOU for this amazing book, Carly! I am sharing it with all my blogger-friends. I can’t recommend this enough!! If you’re on the fence about spending even more money on yet another strategy, do it for this one! It pays off when you see your numbers shoot up and you begin making money. It actually works and is totally worth it!

Not a con, but the truth..

According to Carly:

Lots of people have had GREAT results from using this strategy, and a few have not.

I’m not sure if this is because they’re doing it wrong, or if it’s because they aren’t able to invest the time it takes, or because it just doesn’t work for everyone.

It is impossible to know.

It’s impossible to guarantee that this strategy will work for everyone for many reasons.

Firstly, Pinterest has an ever changing algorithm. I am constantly aware that this strategy might not even work for me forever (this terrifies me). This strategy requires a daily commitment. I spend anywhere from 15 minutes – over an hour on Pinterest per day. This strategy will NOT transform Pinterest pins and pin impressions into clicks over to your blog. YOU need to do that, with pins that scream “click me!”.

MY PERSONAL PINTERESTING STRATEGIES RESULTS

At the beginning of this year my traffic was averaging less than 100 page views a day.

I read about Carly’s course and joined her group Blogging Like We Mean It. Just by following some of the things I learned from her group my traffic started to increase and that’s when I knew her course would have a lot to offer me.

traffic boost after usign pinteresting strategies

In August I had enough page sessions to join the Mediavine ad network.

pinteresting strategies review and traffic by month

As I revealed in my last income report, my traffic dropped from August to September to October.

I had no clue what had happened and attributed the drop to Pinterest hating me.

Using the October 2018 updated version of Pinteresting Strategies

After crying and trying several things, I reread Carly’s updated course and as you can see in the above screen shot my traffic went up since November 1st and it has already surpassed October’s traffic.

COST

The current cost of Pinteresting Strategies is $47, which is underpriced in my opinion.

That’s not all. I made enough money to pay back for the course in less than 2 days.

You know I’m all about saving money so if you want to purchase the course use promo code PINNING5 to get $5 off.

You will learn how to drive Pinterest traffic to your site so that you can start making more money without all the guess work.  (>>Click this link to see if the Pinteresting Strategies coupon is still available>>)

WHY TAKE THIS PINTEREST COURSE OVER OTHERS?

Carly doesn’t pay to advertise her course. The majority of her sales come from word of mouth from people who had great results and saw increases in their traffic (like me!).

Her strategy is based on manual pinning, which means you are spending time on Pinterest. Because of this I better understand how the platform works, what pins are popular and changes that I needed to make.

I now use her strategy combined with Tailwind so that I can schedule a bunch of pins for the week and spend more time doing other blogging tasks. The two combined have helped me get several 1,000+ page view days.

>>>Try out Tailwind for free for 1 month<<< with my link to check your stats, see the best times for you to pin, and your top performers.

Q&A WITH CARLY

Before taking Carly’s course I would pin my pins once in a blue moon with no real purpose and wonder why I wasn’t getting any traffic. I’m still putting into practice the newest stuff I’ve learned from her course and hope to double my traffic soon.

P.S. This month is already a record high income month for me!

So when I asked Carly if I could ask her a few questions and she said yes I might have geeked out…just a little 😉

What did you do before becoming a blogger?

Before becoming a blogger I was a waitress for 10 years. I hated it A LOT by the end, and I quit to become a receptionist. I made less money doing that, but at least I didn’t mind the work. 3 months into that job I got pregnant and realized I had to come up with a good solution to the whole “job problem” FAST, so I started blogging.

Being a mommy blogger, what made you want to create a Pinterest course?

I created the Pinterest course because I was seeing AMAZING success on Pinterest, and I knew I was using Pinterest differently than most… I wanted to share my success with other bloggers and teach them how I personally use Pinterest!

Other than manually pinning, why do you think so many people see such great results with your course?

I think a big part of it is that my course stresses how important your pin design is. It doesn’t matter how many people see a pin – they won’t click on it if the design is terrible, and clicks are what matter! My course also teaches you how to KNOW what is working for you on Pinterest – and that is so important. No more guessing.

If you could give just one great Pinterest tip what would it be?

Curating strong personal boards on ONE topic is KEY!!! Pin plenty of relevant third party content to a well key worded board, and your pins benefit immensely.

Lastly, you’re a mama of two (congratulations on the newest addition!) yet you find time to blog, master Pinterest, send out witty emails, and manage your active Facebook group. So the big question is, when you have time, what do you do for fun?

WELL – for two years I just blogged for fun LOL. Truly, I do love to blog. BUT, now that I’m trying to step back a little, I’m spending time with my family for fun! In the summer I have big plans to create a fairy garden – I love to do that kind of hands on stuff 🙂

I hope you enjoyed my Pinteresting Strategies course review.

Pinterest is an ever-changing beast and as a blogger I don’t always have the time or patience to figure out what it likes.

Thankfully Carly does a lot of the testing and learning for you and puts it into a comprehensive and affordable course.

  1. Thank you for this. I just wrote on another Pinterest Blog about how Pinterest drives me crazy just when I think I have it I find out I don’t!! I saved this post for later and I may come back and get the book.

  2. Yes it’s either very hot or very cold. I think *knock on wood* I’m starting to get the hang of it, until they do another update 😉

  3. Thank you so much for this! I’m a little too new to blogging to get the course yet (I don’t have enough posts) but I think I will as soon as I can.

  4. Yes I waited for awhile before buying the course too because I wanted to make sure it’s what I wanted to do. I would just focus on creating multiple pins that scream read me and create well keyworded personal boards to start. Good luck!

  5. Sigh.

So many great sounding resources to help me in my blogging journey (*ehem* like this one!) and yet so little financial resource to invest in my blogging journey (at least right now). I’m going to Pin this for future reference, though. Thanks for sharing!

  6. I know exactly how you feel. I did not want to buy any courses when I started and it was hard to figure out which one to buy since everyone is trying to sell you something to make money. I checked out EBA, BBC (now DTC), and Lena Gott’s courses. Some stuff is in the hundreds and it’s hard to part with that kind of money. I do think I overpaid for one of the courses I took, but fortunately made that money back eventually. Take your time and research. There are a lot of free resources out there, it just takes more time. Best of luck!

  7. The course sounds great! I’ll have to keep it in mind. It’s funny how I wasn’t even interested in Pinterest until this past year ~ and now I love it. Congrats on all your success and thanks for being willing to share how you got there.

  8. I used it before, but never thought of it as a way to drive traffic and make money. I still use it for great dessert recipes.

  9. I’m working on my Pinterest now, so this is so helpful. When I get to 30 posts, I will def look into this course. Glad you’ve had success with it!
