Best Grocery Saving Apps

When my husband and I decided to get serious about paying off our student loans and saving for a home, we created an expense sheet to see where we were spending our money.

Our grocery bill was one of the highest budget items on our list!

After planning and reducing waste we eventually cut our grocery bill in half.

That was about 10 years ago.

With both of our little ones growing and eating more, our food budget has slowly and gradually gone up.

Fortunately, there are a lot more apps that help us save money food shopping without having to cut coupons.

Using multiple apps at a time will allow you to maximize your savings and earn cash back, gift cards, and even free stuff.

GROCERY SHOPPING SAVING APPS

#1 IBOTTA APP

Ibotta helps you save money grocery shopping without having to cut coupons.

I’ve earned over $100 using this app!

I love that they regularly have generic coupons ($0.10 off any item, $0.25 off any cereal).

You can also earn extra cash by referring the app to friends and family. They then join your team and you help each other reach monthly bonuses faster.

I just signed up to Fetch Rewards and already have enough points to get a $5 gift card!

I love it because all you have to do is link your store loyalty cards or just take pictures of your receipts and the points automatically get added to your account.

You don’t have to waste time scrolling through and selecting matching deals, the app is pretty good at doing it all for you.

Get 3,000 bonus points ($3 gift card) on Fetch Rewards when you sign up today.

#3 SHOPKICK

A coworker recommended this app to me and I love it because it works differently compared to other grocery saving apps.

It’s a great app because you can still earn points even when you don’t buy anything.

Get points when you walk into a store, scan the barcodes of different products and take a photo of your receipts to get points for qualifying products.

#4 RAKUTEN (EBATES)

I use Rakuten for all of my online (and some in-store) purchases and earn several hundred dollars a year in cash back.

The Rakuten app and website is 100% FREE to use because they get money from back from the companies they refer on their site and they pass along some of the savings to you,

If you just download their extension you never have to worry about missing out on savings.

When using the Rakuten app just link your store cards and start earning money. Here is my full Rakuten review if you’d like to see how it all works.

#8 COINOUT

This is the newest of the shopping apps I use to save money every month.

You can use this app for in-store AND online purchases.

Similar to Rakuten, they give you a percent cash back at different retailers and will give you more based on product categories.

#9 SAVING STAR

My mother-in-law recommended this grocery saving app to me and she is the queen of savings.

The app is really easy to use. All you have to do is:

1) Link your store/loyalty cards to the app.

2) Select your rebates.

3) Use your loyalty card when you shop.

4) Earn money when you cash out.
